Hi, I’m Gary Derych, and I am the founder of Answer My Business Calls. I am also a third-generation service business owner with over 30 years of experience in the home services industry.
I have been married to the love of my life for over 25 years, and together, we have two amazing children – a boy and a girl. We love creating summer memories in Ocean City, Maryland, and our golden retriever, Teddy, loves hiking.
I was raised in Paramus, NJ, a town known for its excellent schools, shopping centers, and recreational facilities. Wayne, NJ, where I currently reside, is only twenty minutes away from my childhood town of Paramus.
After completing my education, I worked in the family home improvement business for several years, run by my grandfather and father. They taught me everything there is to know about working hard, being honest, and always putting customers first. These values have been with me throughout my life and reflect how I run my business today.

Meet Teddy, Our Golden Retriever DEO ( Dog Executive Officer )
Our company has a unique DEO who runs the show – Teddy, a golden retriever. While having a dog as the DEO may sound unconventional, we assure you that Teddy is more than qualified for the job. He’s been with us for quite some time and has proven to be an excellent leader.
One of Teddy’s favorite things is to go for car rides and hike with the family. He loves adventure and enjoys being outside, an excellent way to unwind after a long day.
Teddy is a hardworking DEO who takes his job seriously. He has an exceptional work ethic and is always willing to lend a paw. You’ll often see him walking around the office. Teddy’s dedication to his job is inspiring and sets a great example for the rest of us. Teddy’s enthusiasm for his work, combined with his commitment to relaxation, is something we should all emulate.
Teddy’s superpower is the ability to make people smile. He brings joy, laughter, and “couples” of “awww” into everyone’s day. His cheerful demeanor is contagious, brightening the mood wherever he goes. Clients, employees, and visitors agree that their day is better because of Teddy.
